Education Ministry officials are promising to launch an investigation into an incident on Sunday in which three students fell from a Rosh HaAyin school rooftop.

Three 14-year-old students fell about 10 meters from the roof of the Nofim School in Rosh HaAyin on Sunday. Two sustained serious injuries and the third was listed in moderate condition.

From the preliminary information available, the three arrived at the school after hours. They got onto the roof to play around and at one point, fell from the structure. Officials believe they tried lowering themselves or swinging from strips of a material that was on the roof but the material was not strong enough, tearing away and leading to their injuries.

According to a paramedic on the scene, the three hit the pavement and two sustained serious head trauma.
