Persons close to HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Auerbach Shlita report the rav’s condition has improved during yomtov. The rav was admitted to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital on erev yomtov after being diagnosed with pneumonia.
In the statement to the media it is reported the rav remains on antibiotic therapy and is showing a slight improvement. He had a high fever and complained of weakness when he arrived in the hospital. Askan Rav Benny Fisher of Magen L’Choleh stated on motzei yomtov that the rav had a restful Shavuos. He remains in an intensive care unit for observation.
A sefer Torah was brought in and there was a minyan and limudim during yomtov. Dozens of talmidim who live in Ramot visited the rav during yomtov. It is reported the rav had an aliyah at shachris. Doctors are pleased with the improvement in the rav’s condition.
