Israel on Sunday morning halted the entry of all humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and closed all border crossings.
The move came hours after the first phase of the ceasefire ended and Hamas refused a proposal by US envoy Steve Witkoff to extend the truce through Ramadan and Pesach. Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said that the terror group would only release Israeli hostages as part of negotiations on the second phase of the deal.
“With the conclusion of the first stage of the hostages deal and in light of Hamas’s refusal to accept the Witkoff framework for the continuation of the talks, to which Israel has agreed, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided that, as of this morning, the entry of all goods and supplies to the Gaza Strip will be halted,” the Prime Minister’s Office stated,
“Israel will not allow a ceasefire without the release of our hostages. If Hamas persists in its refusal, there will be additional consequences.”
Hamas, which regularly steals humanitarian aid for its own use, responded to Israel’s decision to withhold aid as a “violation of international law.”
“Israel decided to starve the people of Gaza,” a Hamas spokesperson said.
Israel estimates that the humanitarian aid that has already entered the Strip will last four to six months.

Hamas complains about “violation of international law”. Really?
What violation have they themselves not committed? It was a violation of all laws to feed and support this evil entity. Now we have to wait six months for the food to run out. When will we fight our battle to win?
This was to be done on the very beginning of the war and hundreds of soldiers would be alive or not wounded today. It is not enough to stop food. You must not allow any media into Gaza. If you do world pressure will force you to give them food. When the media shows gazan kids dying of starvation the world governments will turn on Israel. No food, water, fuel, medicine, internet connections, electricity etc allowed in. You need to demolish even empty buildings with bombs from planes. Bombing buildings where hostages may be then just fly over low altitude and let the noises of the jets shatter windows. You can also drop food laced with exlax chocolate to make the gazans run to the bathroom. Also drop flyers for populations to move from areas where there is still standing housing which is about forty five per cent and when population moves just demolish every standing structure by plane. You need to destroy all sewage lines, water lines, electric wires, gas pipes. You need to keep flying over with noise to awake gazans and make their life very uncomfortable. Without sleep they won’t function. Also if there are storage houses with food must be destroyed.
Now all electricity needs to be shut off
About a year too late. They have been fattening and pampering these savages with more food and household products than they ever had! I hope that the 4-6 mth hoard they still have will rot or burn so that they wil understand they must release the hostages or starve.
Israel will not allow a ceasefire without the release of our hostages….
This means they asked for that?
Only Violation of international law is hamas not allowing Red Cross to visit hostages & keep families updated of their well-being & deliver medication, in addition to violation of 8th Commandment:- Thou shalt not Kidnappeth,
Delivering supplies to gaza, was not a requirement by international law, but a privilege to a bunch of ungrateful creatures, just like President Donald Trump שליט”א correctly so effectively adviced zelensky that all the aid that has been extended to Ukraine was a privilege to a bunch of ungrateful creatures.
@flyer: Not only electricity. They should shut off the water too.
