Israel: Ariel Sharon Unchanged Following 2 Years in a Coma

sharon.jpgAccording to Tel Hashomer Hospital’s Prof. Ze’ev Rothstein, after two years in a comatose state, there is no change in the condition of former prime minister, Ariel Sharon.

Rothstein explained on Wednesday that the former prime minister does show signs of a “response” to pain and some verbal stimulus, but there is no progress, no change, nothing different than from the day he slipped into a comatose state.

  1. We never got the full scoop as to how he got there to begin with. One day he was not feeling well and the next day his doctors’ are inviting only those reporters who do not have any experience covering medical stories.

  2. Maybe V8 will sponsor a vegetable!!!

I bet the pain he’s feeling is nothing compared to the pain of losing your home, your community, and your livelyhood.. I hope that despite what he’s going through right now, the heavenly court judges him harshly and sends him right to the special section of the afterlife reserved for Jews who sell out their own kind. I’m guessing Rabin could use the company and maybe George Soros can join them soon enough

  3. Ariel Sharon did (B’derech Hatevah) save Israel in the Yom Kippur war, by cutting through the Suez and encircling the Egyptian Third Army (which was its best). And if it wasn’t for the our Henry Kissinger, the Third Army would have been decimated and they would have died from thirst.

The man did sacrifice himself for other Jews, let us not forgot that!!

  4. More appropriately… I hope that he is judged according to his actions and intentions and justice is served…
Know everything before you make such judgemental statements like that

  5. Thank you Jay Matt!!!

To everyone else who claims that the man did some heroic things, that maybe true but when the chips were down he showed his true colors.

The disengagement plan came at a time when his finances and extracuricular activites were being brought to light by the media. He found a great way to move the spot light from them by trying to prove to the world that if we give everything away “unilaterily” then we are worthy of their love.

His motivation was a personal and selfish one, not a pure undying love of the Jewish people.

  6. BS”D

The sad fact is that Sharon was a great general but a lousy politician, and politics led him to personal corruption which in turn caused him to become corrupt ideologically or to have to knuckle down to those bnei bli-yaal in E”Y who have no love for the land or its inhabitants outside of Ramat Aviv Gimmel Savyon and Kesaria.

The Lubavitcher Rebbe ZY”A, who saved Sharon’s life by keeping him from going to E”Y on a flight that met a bad end (known fact) told him not to go into politics (not sure if this is 100% verifiable).

In any case shem reshoim yirkav and ym”s are a bit out of line for someone who did save Jewish lives (or more accurately was Hashem’s shaliach in doing so), but is truly a tinok shenishba bein hatzioinim.

  7. To all the vicious posters-pray for Ariel Chaim ben Vera for refuah shelima, some are you are right, this could be Divine Justice for Gush Katif but we are not the Judge, our job is to pray for Refuah for every Jew.

  8. I am wondering whether those who have identified clearly the reason for Sharon’s condition can assist me with the following requests:

    1. Tonight’s Lotto numbers.

    2. The reason for a friend’s stroke. I am baffled – he is a shomer Shabbos, ba’al tzedakah, put his children through yeshiva, went to minyan regularly, and suffered a terrible, debilitating stroke.

Since all of you arrogant ba’al midos seem to have a lock on reasoning behind G-d’s judgment and have identified the source of Sharon’s collapse, would you be able to enlighten me as to what this man did wrong? I would like to avoid his mistakes.

At the least, I am pleased to blog with so many who enjoy the power of prophecy.

    Fools.

  9. # 2, when did R’ Ovadia say that?

Lets not forget that there are “those” who say that Oslo was what brought the hitnatkut upon us. Lets not forget who voted for the Oslo.

  10. While one may disagree with his politics, he served heroically in every war since 1948 and on countless nameless heroic missions at great sacrifice. Hashem will judge we may not. Some serve by learning others in their own valuable ways.

  11. #14 very well said. However, in a very well known story (I’m pretty sure it’s brought in tuvcha yabiu [Rav Zilberstein- Rav Elyashiv’s son in-law]) There once was a person who died in a car accident on Shabbos, and the Brisker Rav commented “Shabbos has claimed her due”. Anyway, #14 people existed back then too, so they asked the Brisker Rav how he could say such a thing, after all, a lot of frum people die in car accidents. The Brisker Rav answered, you are right, many frum people die in ways that we cannot comprehend, and many suffer for reasons that defy us. We cannot know or understand Hashem’s ways. However, when there is an apparent reason to attribute this to, like “mechalileha mos yumas”, why look elsewhere?

Again, I am not saying that’s why he fell into a coma- actually, contrary to what all the Israeli cab drivers and ywn commentaries think, not one of us knows ANYTHING about politics, so even though many say it was wrong (and it definetly wasn’t good for security), there are still a lot of other factors, (international pressure, for example), so who knows????????

  12. #14 you are a bit too harsh. But you are right that it is not our place to judge. I think we all just have to realize that the State of Israel is run by the Erev Rav who’s downfall will come in due time. We have to pray hard that Hashem will save us from these people and bring peace.
Although, it seems interesting that someone who disengaged his own citizens, became disengaged shortly afterwards……
