Kadima to Elect a New Leader on Wednesday

The primary elections to select a new Kadima Party leader will get underway on Wednesday morning at 10:00AM. 74,000 registered party members will have a right to vote in the election in one of 114 polling stations nationwide. Polls will close at 10:00PM.

The tabulation of votes will begin and shortly after midnight, the preliminary results are expected. The official outcome of the election will not be known until Thursday morning.

According to the party’s charter, the leading candidate must get at least 40% of the vote to be declared the victor in the first round. If a second round run-off election is required, it will be held one week later, on the following Wednesday.
