Giants And Jets End Negotiations With Allianz

stad1.jpgThe Anti-Defamation League (ADL), issued the following statement in response to the announcement that the Giants and Jets have ended negotiations with the insurance company Allianz for the naming rights to their new stadium in the Meadowlands [reported HERE on YWN]:

The New York Giants and the New York Jets heard the concerns of their fans and others and made the right decision to end negotiations with Allianz for the naming rights of their new stadium.

The decision shows sensitivity to the fact that the greater New York area is home to a large number of Holocaust survivors and their families and World War II veterans, who live with the painful memories of that time.

  1. The Jets and Giants listened. Now if only we can get the ADL to listen, that would be nice.
Who do they represent? Who made them the authority on everything Jewish.

  2. I am shocked and dissapointed! Aich naflu hagiboirim, Here on Yeshiva World, news about two groups whose names I dare not mention, the Avi avos hatumah?? What have we become ? Is this a precedance to a NFL scoreboard beig shown on a “heilige” site? We must heed the call of MI LASHEM ELAI, and boycott anything to do with these kvutzos. I’d rather shave with a braun while driving a bmw and then eat kishke made in bosch then support these teams. We must destroys this chevrah and place our strength and wisdom in one group and one group only

    the New England Patriots!!!

I actually used to work for the Bosch corporation and in my job interview when talking to the vice president of sales I asked him point blank what the company was involved with during World War II.

His answer was that the Nazis came to the factories and asked what they manufactured there. The answer was spark plugs, the nazis then said “now you are going to manufacture parts for our tanks.” The management stonewalled and moved their entire operation to Switzerland for the duration of the war only returning after the nazis were defeated.

While working there for close to two years I proudly wore my yarmulka and was treated with the utmost respect in regards to shabbous and yom tov.

Most people have a knee jerk reaction when it comes to anything German made, I’m here to tell you that the Bosch corporation should not elicit that response. Personally I recommend their power mixers as they can greatly assist in baking challah. Plus the bowl that comes with it is big enough for a receipe that would necessitate the bracha for seperating challah!

    Have a great week
