An Israeli bus traveling near Yishuv Tekoa in eastern Gush Etzion was attacked by Arabs throwing rocks. Two tourists were injured lightly. Soldiers responding to the attack were also attacked with rocks, metallic rods and other projectiles and were compelled to use live ammunition as efforts continued to restore order in the area.

A terrorist on Shabbos infiltrated the Shalhevet neighborhood in the Shomron community of Yitzhar, resulting in a child sustaining light knife wounds. The child was treated by an EMS team. A fire also resulted in the home as a result of the attack, but the circumstances leading to the blaze are unclear. The attacker managed to escape. Police are investigating.

In retaliation for the attack, a number of Jews entered a nearby Arab village and opened fire, wounding three Arabs lightly. They were transported to a hospital in a Red Crescent ambulance.

The army confiscated the weapons from two Yitzhar residents.

An Israeli Arab who got into an altercation with PA residents at the Chawarah Checkpoint on Shabbos was stabbed and lightly injured. He was transported to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah.

IDF officials are investigating an incident in which an Arab boy was struck and injured by an IDF vehicle. The victim was transported to an Israeli hospital.  (Yechiel Spira – YWN Israel)
