She has the support of her base. Trump is by their definition the “enemy of the people” who needs to be disposed. He is even worse than insurance company executives or zionists. When public enemies are at large and are threatening to move society away from the accept WOKE truth, “rule of law” is an unaffordable luxury. You never saw Stalin or Hitler let enemies prevail due to legal niceties. That’s why they had “People’s Court” not restricted by old fashioned ideas of justice.
If New Yorkers want a legal system based on traditional American standards of justice, they need to vote her out of office. Fifty years ago New York State had leaders it could be proud of, and if they choose, they can have respectable leaders again.

scy4851: It was a civil judgment, not a criminal one. His only is to appeal. There are some cases dating back to the Jim Crow area suggesting that a politically motivated and unsupported judgement might not be enforceable in other states (though Trump still has lots of New York property they can try to seize).
Already Trump has had the last laugh, since outrage over WOKE Lawfare was a major factor in his victory in the presidential election.
