Chris Cuomo and Stephen A. Smith have publicly urged President Joe Biden to pardon President-elect Donald Trump following Biden’s controversial decision to pardon his son, Hunter Biden, over the weekend.
During a Monday evening discussion on Cuomo’s show, Smith and Cuomo analyzed the backlash Biden has faced for the pardon, particularly since the president had previously pledged not to take such actions. Cuomo suggested Biden should extend his clemency to Trump, saying, “If I were he, I would pardon Trump. I would say, this has got to stop.”
Smith echoed Cuomo’s stance, urging Democrats to focus on future elections. “Enough’s enough,” Smith said. “You’re the Democrats, you lost the election, you got your butt whipped, you could have prevented him from going back to the White House.”

Trump doesn’t need a pardon so not sure why this issue is making the rounds. The two federal trials have both been terminated by the trial judges following recommendations by the special counsel (not to mention that the one in Florida was tossed out) and the other two are state cases that needs the governor in the NY case to issue a pardon and the state legislature in the Georgia case to toss out and so Trump needing a pardon is totally untrue not to mention he won’t want one from crooked Joe..
It would be more political if New York’s Governor gave a pardon, and if the Democrats offered to support a bi-partisan bill banning “lawfare” (e.g. if a public prosecutor or elected official of any sort says he wants to convict someone, the prosecutor and his staff are disqualified and the trial gets referred to a jurisdiction of the defendant’s choosing).
Now that President Joe Biden has pardoned his obviously crooked son,
he should also pardon Donald Trump and the January 6th activists.
