Gunfire in Akko Lead Residents to Fear a Terror Attack Occurred


A father and son were injured from gunfire during broad daylight in Akko on Wednesday as organized crime wars continue in areas of Israel. When gunfire was heard during the morning hours on Ben-Shoshan Street in Akko on Wednesday, neighbors began phoning police to report a terror attack was taking place.

MDA ambulances responding found a 45-year-old male wounded by gunfire, along with his 20-year-old son. The two also sustained multiple stab wounds, transported to a Nahariya Hospital in serious condition.

The father is known to police, having a long criminal record. Police have announced the department is working to control growing organized crime wars that recently have been spilling into the streets.
