OPEN NEIS: Suicide Drone Hits Kindergarten Without Warning, No One Injured

Countless incredible nissim have occurred daily in Israel amid potentially deadly heavy barrages of rockets, drones, and missiles fired by Hezbollah in Lebanon for over a year.

An especially astounding neis occurred on Tuesday morning when an explosive drone fired by Hezbollah scored a direct hit in the yard of a kindergarten in Nesher, a city near Haifa, causing damage and shattering windows. No siren sounded beforehand.

Nevertheless, no one was injured as the staff and children were in the bomb shelter as the staff had prudently moved the children there upon hearing the sirens from afar. Before the drone hit, sirens sounded in areas near Haifa, Akko, and the Galil – but no siren sounded in Nesher itself. The IDF said afterward it is investigating why the siren wasn’t activated in Nesher.

Photos and videos show how the drones shattered the kindergarten’s windows and damaged the kindergarten’s yard:

The Israel Fire and Rescue Authority stated: “After searches, the drone was located in the yard of a kindergarten. There are no casualties at the scene and no fires. The fact that the kindergarten staff rushed and moved all the children to a protected space resulted in no injuries.”

The drone was seen flying over the area for a full 14 minutes as the IDF repeatedly and unsuccessfully attempted to down it.

One of the kindergarten teachers, Sora Yasour, later told Israeli media that they experienced a “miracle of miracles,” adding that when the staff heard distant sirens and saw that there was a drone warning, they decided to act with caution and rushed the children into the bomb shelter. “The drone hit exactly where we were sitting.”

  1. That’s called hashgacha pratis, not a “miracle of miracles”.
A “miracle of miracles” would be if the drone miraculously exploded supernaturally just before reaching them and none of them even noticed its presence.
Definitely thank Hashem, of course, but please don’t confuse the two.
