What songs do you use for Lo Saivoshi? I’m getting tired of the same 3 niggunim week after week. Something geshmake to get the oilam into it, maybe even do a tantz!
Ain Shoom Yioosh. It’s originally a Stoliner niggun. Laasois Nachas Ruach. Uvah Leztion Go’ail from Regesh.
Maybe the one that goes, na na na nay nay, na na, na nay nay, ay ay ay ay….
In all seriousness, there are some really nice Skulener Nigunim for lo tevoshi for the Chassidish and Ashkenazi tzibur, and some really nice nigunim based on makamim in the sefaradi/arabic world (many sefaradim do not necessarily sing quicker songs or even split up lecha dodi, they sing it with one nigun from start to finish).

If you have a gift or ‘chush’ for music, there are endless possibilities to fit multiple songs into practically whatever you want. For Lecha Dodi, for Loi Saivoshi, for Hallel on Yomtov, for Kedusha etc I like to choose songs that I have never heard before for that piece. It just needs a little thought and effort to make davening moving and inspiring instead of rolling out the same few tunes again and again. Make Tefilloh great again!
Zemiros on Shabbos in my house are always with new tunes for many of the different Zemiros. Hamalach, Adon Olam and the other pesukim of krias Shema al hamita with my kids at night are also different each night with my kids choosing songs and I have to fit them in somewhere. I love doing it. A few minutes of thought and preparation and you can do it too! But pick tunes that people know and that will go well! B’hatzlocho, and enjoy!Niggun Vishnits. I can hear Mutty’s voice sing it right now and I want to dance.
