If you have a gift or ‘chush’ for music, there are endless possibilities to fit multiple songs into practically whatever you want. For Lecha Dodi, for Loi Saivoshi, for Hallel on Yomtov, for Kedusha etc I like to choose songs that I have never heard before for that piece. It just needs a little thought and effort to make davening moving and inspiring instead of rolling out the same few tunes again and again. Make Tefilloh great again!
Zemiros on Shabbos in my house are always with new tunes for many of the different Zemiros. Hamalach, Adon Olam and the other pesukim of krias Shema al hamita with my kids at night are also different each night with my kids choosing songs and I have to fit them in somewhere. I love doing it. A few minutes of thought and preparation and you can do it too! But pick tunes that people know and that will go well! B’hatzlocho, and enjoy!
