GREAT JOB, HAMAS: War Has Sent The Gaza Strip Backwards By 70 Years, UN Says

The ongoing war between Israel and Hamas has devastated the Palestinian economy, with nearly all of Gaza’s population now living in poverty, according to a new report by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The conflict has also severely impacted key quality-of-life indicators such as health and education, setting them back by 70 years, the report states.

Chitose Noguchi, a representative of the UNDP, outlined the findings at a press conference, revealing that the economy of the Palestinian territories, including the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, has shrunk by 35% since Hamas launched its October 7 attacks on Israel a year ago, which escalated into the current conflict.

“By some measures, the poverty level in Gaza is now approaching 100% as a result of the disruption, with unemployment at 80%,” Noguchi said during the briefing from Deir Al-Balah. She described the situation as “unprecedented,” noting that Gaza’s development has regressed to levels last seen in 1955.

Even under the best possible conditions, Noguchi warned, it will take at least a decade for the economy of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank to recover to pre-war levels, even if international aid continues to flow at current rates without interruption.

  1. Even when the economy reached 52% unemployment, it seamed to be they were (and are very busy Digging Tunnels) all the work they worked, were almost gone, Terror structures were demolished within months, and thousands of Terrorists were Killed in less than a year( till the Next cycle), the bad News is that they didn’t learn the lesson that terrorism isn’t worth it, the good news is that by now they learnt that if they will kidnap People, the price tag will be “well over 40,000.
