A 19-year-old female Border Police officer was murdered and ten people were injured in a multi-scene shooting attack at the central bus station in Be’er Sheva early Sunday afternoon.
According to MDA reports, a young woman is in moderate to serious condition and four men in their 20s are in moderate condition, all with gunshot wounds. The rest of the victims are in light condition after being injured by shattered glass.
MDA said that the attack took place at three different areas of the central bus station.
The terrorist was neutralized by security forces. He was later identified as Ahmad al-Uqbi, a 29-year-old Israeli-Bedouin from southern Israel. Al-Uqbi, who had a criminal record, is a relative of Muhanad al-Uqbi who carried out a shooting attack at the Be’er Sheva central bus station in 2015.
The murdered victim was later identified as Sgt. Shira Chaya Suslik, H’yd, 19, a Border Police patrol officer and resident of Be’er Sheva. She left behind her parents and three siblings.
