WATCH: Biden Says “The United States Is Fully, Fully, Fully Supportive Of Israel”

President Joe Biden said Tuesday that the United States was “fully supportive” of Israel after Iran’s ballistic missile attacks, describing Tehran’s assault as “defeated and ineffective.”

“At my direction, the United State military actively supported the defense of Israel, and we’re still assessing the impact,” Biden said. “But, based on what we know, the attack appears to have been defeated and ineffective.

“This is a testament to Israeli military capability and the U.S. military,” he continued. “It’s also a testament to intensive planning between the United States and Israel to anticipate and defend against the brazen attack.

“Make no mistake, the United States is fully, fully, fully supportive of Israel,” Biden added.

The president noted that he spent the morning and part of the afternoon in the Situation Room, meeting with his national security team and consulting with Israelis.

Kamala Harris takes no questions after saying she and Biden “monitored” the Iranian missile attack on Israel “in real time.”

“I am clear-eyed.

  1. No questions????? Why not? Isn’t she a candidate for the presidency of the United States? Wouldn’t she WANT to take questions?????

    Oh, right……

And, BTW, YWN, wouldn’t you be asking this question if it were Donald Trump?

  2. It is in American interests for Israel to humiliate Iran (and also for Ukraine to humiliate Russia) since US wants to advertise to China that their allies are not to be relied upon. Military aid to Israel (and Ukraine) makes the United States safer by showing that Russia and Iran have bit off more than they can chew. And aiding the Israelis (and the Ukrainians) is a lot cheaper than rebuilding the American armed forces even to Cold War levels.

The major problem is that the United States and its allies (and note that while Ukraine and Israel and American “interests”, they are not allied with the United States) are not prepared for war, and only a few (Poland, South Korea, Taiwan and increasingly Japan are seriously building up their armed forces).

It would be nice if the United States and other western powers supported Israel out of moral principles (e.g. defeating the only countries for whom genocide is an explicit national goal), but they are supporting Israel out of self-interest, so we’ll have to settle for that.
