I would like to publicly thank Biden for not informing Hezbollah about Israel’s strike that (hopefully) killed Nasrallah, even though it probably will escalate the war with Iran coming into it
That doesn’t mean I’m voting for Harris though so libs don’t get your hopes up
September 29, 2024 9:38 am at 9:38 am #2319642Sam KleinParticipantWhy don’t you thank Hashem directly who we know not only runs the entire world but also the famous line of ” לב מלכים ושרים ביד י-ה-ו-ה” which means that the ruling and the minds of thinking of rulers worldwide -from large kings to small local town mayor’s-are ALL in the hands of Hashem.
So why don’t you take out a siddur or tehillim and thank Hashem directly?
September 29, 2024 9:38 am at 9:38 am #2319686fandango443ParticipantIf Biden had an issue with what Israel does he could force them to stop at any time. And the real war goes through Syria not Iran proper.
September 29, 2024 11:41 am at 11:41 am #2319767☕️coffee addictParticipantSam,
That is pashut that one has to thank Hashem but just like one has to show hakaras hatov to a bus driver (like Rabbi Miller says) one should thank anyone
September 29, 2024 11:41 am at 11:41 am #2319770smerelParticipantNot informing Hezbollah about Israel’s strike that killed Nasrallah is hardly something to give credit or thanks for. It also needs to be mentioned that Israel gave the US very short notice over concerns that the US would ruin the plan
September 29, 2024 11:41 am at 11:41 am #2319788Reb EliezerParticipantThe Maharal says that the one who repeasts something in the name of the one who said it, will bring the redemption. Hashem wants us to give hakoras hatov for the redemption. One who repeats it will surely give hakoras hatov to Him as one gives credit where credit is due.
September 29, 2024 1:24 pm at 1:24 pm #2319862☕️coffee addictParticipantSmerel,
Do you think holding open a door for you is “ hardly something to give credit or thanks for.”?
We’ve seen Biden in the past appease the other side by disclosing names, giving bags of cash, and saying “don’t” so none of it was done over here and he even came out with a statement supporting the killing even though it will hurt the “Michigan vote”
September 29, 2024 1:24 pm at 1:24 pm #2319875keithParticipantActually, my understanding is Isreal is not telling the United States anything about their operations until it is too late for the United States to do anything about it because they are worried they will leak information. I don’t believe the United States was aware at all of the operation until it was completed or in progress.
September 29, 2024 2:10 pm at 2:10 pm #2319926GadolhadorahParticipantWhile recognizing yad hashem behind everything that happens, it would be good to also acknowledge the incredible skill and mesiras nefesh of the Mosad intelligence operatives and IAF pilots who daily risk their lives to carry out these missions. Much of this get lost in the daily bashing of Biden, Bibi, the shmad IDF and Zionist State.

QUESTION:
What EVIDENCE do we have that President Joe Biden
knew about Israel’s strike that killed Nasrallah? So far as I know now, there is no evidence that Joe Biden knew.
Considering that Israel is an ALLY of the USA,
and Nasrallah was a bloodthirsty TERRORIST who murdered civilians,
why should any USA President try to save the life of Nasrallah?Thanking Joe Biden for not saving Nasrallah is like thanking
President FDR for not saving Adolph Hitler during World War II.September 29, 2024 11:56 pm at 11:56 pm #2320023anonymous JewParticipantTo prevent U.S. from warning Hezbollah, Israel didn’t notify U.S. until jets were in the air and about to strike. Biden had no role

From Ywn’s WhatsApp group
“*BREAKING UPDATE:* U.S. officials have informed ABC News that Nasrallah, along with several of his top lieutenants, were in Beirut during the Israeli airstrike targeting the main Hezbollah command bunker – raising speculation about whether Nasrallah and his leadership were directly impacted.
In response to the development, U.S. President Joe Biden has been briefed on the Israeli operation, which is being described as a “decapitation strike” aimed at Hezbollah’s top leadership.

September 30, 2024 3:11 pm at 3:11 pm #2320331akupermaParticipantWhen Biden (a few years younger than me) was growing up, many people still remembered World War I (and World War II was something of a continuation and a rematch). The situation today globally is very similar to that of the early summer of 1914, and Biden wants to keep a lid on the situation including the war in the Middle East, Ukraine and the potential conflicts in East Asia. He needs Israel to win enough so they don’t decide they have had all they can take and start throwing around weapons of mass destruction, and while Israel could wipe out the Palestinians and cripple the Muslim world, the backlash would probably set off the “powderkeg” that is set to explode globally (and unlike 1914, many countries have weapons of mass destruction or can get them quickly).

Trump and Vance wanted to sppease the other side by ending military aid to Israel. Vance voted against the Ukraine Israel Taiwan aid bill at Trump’s behest, to the cheers of Putin, Sinwar, and Xi. Days later Trump rewarded Vance with a VP selection.

Biden praised the rsid that killed Nasrallah. Trump is still silent.
