The executive director of the Yesha Settlement Council, Danny Dayan, told Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) on Thursday morning that it is obvious to all that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert does not have a majority in this Knesset for another expulsion but it appears the talk of such an event serves his agenda.
“It is a law without clients,” stated Dayan, rejecting the legitimacy of a poll revealed by Minister Chaim Ramon, which indicates one-third of Yesha residents would be willing to leave their homes in a compensatory settlement with the national government.
Dayan stated if they offer residents two and three times of the worth of their homes, there is no doubt many will sell since it presents a unique monetary opportunity.
Dayan stated he too see polls and the truth is there is no support for another expulsion after the shul in N’vei Dekalim has become a training camp for terrorists and other communities have become launching pads for terror attacks.
