With Lag B’Omer approaching efforts to prepare in Meron are moving ahead. Ichud Hatzalah is one of the organizations that will be operating in the city, working in cooperation with Zaka, with the latter focusing on missing children and the former on emergency medical calls. Other agencies include Israel Police, Israel Fire, Magen David Adom and other local and national agencies.
Ichud’s Galil Commander Nachi Klein will head his organization’s effort this year as in the past. Volunteers including EMTs, paramedics and physicians will be responding to calls days ahead of the Lag B’Omer weekend.

We all care about Rashbi and the preparation but I fail to see why Ichud Hatzalah has to always be mentioned so much? The ikar is the celebration, not making a loud PR campaign for a secondary medical service. On that note, why isn’t MDA mentioned? They have a major operation running in Meron, actually the biggest by far and are the primary medical service.
