Accidental Discharge of Weapon Leaves 1 Injured in Jerusalem

2

According to an Ichud Hatzalah report, a yeshiva bochur sustained a moderate gunshot injury to a leg or foot on Alkabetz Street in the capital, at the entrance to a yeshiva.

Ichud EMTs and a paramedic treated the wounded teenager, 15, who was transferred to a MDA paramedic unit and to a local hospital. Police responded to the scene and an investigation is underway.

It appears the security guard of Yeshiva Ohr Elchanan discharged his weapon accidently and the bullet struck the bochur.

  1. Any gun owner knows there is no such thing as an accidental discharge there are only intentional discharge and negligent discharge. The only way possible for a gun to go boom is if the trigger is pulled and that is either intentional or negligent there is zero possibility of an accident

  2. Actually the headline should be “NEGLIGENT GUARD leaves 1 injured ”
Apparently the guard gave his gun to one of the students and while in the students hand it accidentally discharged.
Thank G -D we didn’t have another tragedy like the negligent guard at the kotel.

  3. What negligent guard at the Kotel?
If you mean the shooting of Ben Shalush then that was not negligence, it was murder in the first degree (with a bet, that he could).
