Former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have officially endorsed Kamala Harris’ presidential bid in an awkward video capturing a private phone call between the couple and the current vice president.
In the roughly one-minute-long video, Obama tells Harris, “We called to say Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and to do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office.”
Michelle Obama adds, “I am proud of you. This is going to be historic.”
Harris expresses her gratitude for the endorsement and their long friendship, saying, “Thank you both. It means so much. And we’re gonna have some fun with this too.”
The endorsement comes less than a week after President Joe Biden bowed out of the race, and is expected to boost Harris’ campaign with energy, fundraising, and Obama’s potential presence on the campaign trail. Obama had initially declined to endorse Harris, reportedly over his concerns that she is a weak candidate who likely won’t be able to defeat Donald Trump.

That is SOOOO SETUP it’s pathetic! BTW – Biden didn’t bow out. He was forced out. This is clear from the very fact that his fake letter of backing out of the race was not only written by someone else, they forged his signature!
Hopefully, people will see through the teleprompters and fake media bias who will try to boost her popularity.
Have fun? Not quite the objective of running for President of the US. Would have expected a loftier message and more solemn commitment from the person who might just be elected as leader of the free world.
All the left and center new sources think the Obama “blessing” of Harris went well, and is a major factor in how she appears to be on the verge of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat (though she still to survive the convention and Veep-selection).

Obama’s endorsement means even more to me, because when Obama endorses something, an even clearer message to regular people, to stay exceeeeeeeeeedingly far away from Harris, & to dutifully vote for President Donald Trump שליט”א our soon to be 47th President of the United States of America בע”ה

Why is everyone so put out for a campaign ad? Both sides produce them. Frankly I don’t use TV so I don’t see any unless there is some kind of controversy reported.

@coffee addict: why a “setup”? harris is (almost) certain to get the nomination (who else could they choose?), so unless michelle tries a last-ditch move at the convention, the only choice was to either endorse harris or not. either way, it won’t make much difference for harris’ chances of winning, nor for the obamas’ political capital.
