NBC New York is reporting that a Delta flight from Chicago to LaGuardia Airport landed safely after a bird strike Wednesday morning.
The flight crew reported the plane hit birds when it was about four miles away from the airport around 11 a.m., according to the Port Authority.
There was no damage to the plane’s windshield, though some bird remains were removed and will be sent to a lab to determine what kind of birds hit the aircraft, the Port Authority said.
No one was hurt, and the plane headed back to O’Hare Airport after it refueled.
