Gantz Slams Netanyahu’s Leadership In Gaza War, Accuses Him Of Hesitation And Delay

Former War Cabinet Minister Benny Gantz today launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s leadership during the recent conflict in Gaza. In a tweet, Gantz accused Netanyahu of hesitating and delaying necessary operations, stating that he was “afraid” to maneuver in Gaza.

Netanyahu had earlier declared in a heated Knesset debate that Israel was “on the way to absolute victory.” However, Gantz countered that the Prime Minister had “delayed entering Khan Younis” and “hesitated to enter Rafah.” He also alleged that Netanyahu had prioritized political campaigns over strategic military decisions, saying “You talked about the city of Rafah for a campaign, when we insisted on the need to first seize the Philadelphi Corridor and prevent a renewed strengthening of Hamas.”

Gantz further questioned Netanyahu’s decision-making, asking “Why did you delay the entry of Rafah and Khan Younis? Why did you fear, delay and hesitate? And what are the prices we paid and are still paying for it?”

He hinted that a state commission of inquiry would eventually reveal the truth, but noted that such a commission has yet to be formed, and Netanyahu is reportedly seeking to influence its formation to his advantage.
