The Tel Aviv District Court on Tuesday morning began the trial of Labor Party activist Shmuel Levy, 33, who in the past was active in assisting party leader Defense Minister Ehud Barak.
The trial was to have begun as an assault trial for the attack perpetrated against 63-year-old Tel Aviv resident Rena Avraham. Avraham died of her injuries in the attack, and the indictment has been changed to manslaughter.
