A 24-year-old chassidish avreich who lives in Ramat Beit Shemesh Daled was arrested overnight Wednesday for alleged involvement in a serious case of espionage for Iran.
According to the neighbors, a large number of police forces raided his home in the early hours of Thursday morning, arresting him and taking him for an interrogation.
He was brought before the court early Thursday afternoon for an extension of his arrest.
The shocked neighbors told Chareidi media outlets that they are sure there must be some mistake as the suspect is a serious avreich from a known family. One neighbor told Chareidim10 said that the chassid is a computer expert and perhaps unknowingly worked for someone with ties to Iran.

It most be a mistake
The tziyonim always looking to harass the chareidim
He isn’t a Chassid or he wasn’t Spying For Iran.
נטורי-קרתא connection 🤔
At least he shan’t have to worry about being conscripted to the army notwithstanding the edict of the wicked Supreme Court, and clearly he followed the פסק of this ספרדי Rabbi [as reported on YWN] of being מוסר נפש to do anything to stay away from being conscripted
I will wait for the data, Israel does not simply make these things up. Known family, known serious means nothing to me.
If indeed true, throw the book at him. Anybody that consorts with the enemies of Israel has Jewish blood on his hands.
Four responses above me, and all of them seem possible
הכסף יענה את הכל
אשריך שנתפסת על דברי תורה!!!
I can only envy the Olam Haba that this pure קדוש will earn for spying against the State of “Israel” and enduring suffering at the hands of his Zionist tormentors.
If only I could have the zechus to spy against the ממשלת הזדון and help to contribute to peacefully dismantling the Zionist state!
This is a true story of self hating Jews! I’ve had enough! We must stand up to such haters! arrest him! Throw him in jail and lose the key! Utterly disgusted!
In most cases of a foreign country asking a citizen to work for them they start off asking the person to do basic things for them, like take a picture of some random building, that doesn’t betray the security of their country in order to get them used to working for them. Its only after a while that they start asking them to do things that will clearly benefit the other country, thereby getting the citizen to cross the line into betraying his country and once they get them to cross that line they start to push him further and further till he’s actually doing things that compromise the security of his country. So this guy was probably at the initial stages where he’s doing things be believes are harmless and would have stopped if they had asked him to do something that actually helped Iran and endangered the security of Israel.
There are two reasons why this should not shock us or surprise us:
[1] Many Chareidim believe, falsely, that Zionism is the greatest evil.
Given that false belief, they try to justify spying against Israel.
[2] Many Chareidim have no way of earning a decent salary.
Nobody is more desperate for money than a man with many children and no way to earn a decent salary. Given this desperate need for money, he tries to justify making money by spying against Israel. Which does not bother him, because he has been taught to hate Israel.
SQUARE_ROOT
Please check your facts
(1) WHO are you to judge what it TRUE and what is FALSE??
(2) Many Charedim earn a nicer living the NON charedim!!
Your true colors of hate against chareidim is pretty obvious, What a shame….
Yossi Name Edited :
I also hope you get the same Olam Haba as this man, if he’s a spy.
@ShloimieB
You make me laugh! No? israel “never” makes things up?
We all know that israel is built on, relies upon, and is heavily engaged in fake – not trumped up, but totally fake arrests, fake charges etc. If they hate someone, or are scared of him – for whatever reason -, but have no possible grounds to arrest/silence them, they simply arrest and then make up some story.
Seems like maybe this fellow was one of the chashuve askanim who are busy trying to make sure the filthy dirty pritzut nevela people (with or without a kippa) don’t get control of ramat Daled, where there has been significant protests in the last few years, (where the ir/religious sickos in the area called on a jihad for men and girls to congregate together, make barbeques, make loud noise, girls and women should be loud, so that the chareidi “parasites” don’t take over), and eventually the medinat yishmael decided to pick out of the hat something that will try and make people “wake up” and “realise” the gravity of the chareidi “parasites” “taking over” ramat daled.
I am just a modox guy from Jackson NJ but i think the correct Torah response to hearing such news (which I thinknis lashon hara) is to not accept it but be wary that it’s possible.
Which in the meantimea means that we have to not believe it
This calling out him
Being a Chassid is unacceptable for so called frum news outlet and I’m rather mortified that you’ve reached the level of what the sturmer would have done.
If you insist on calling out that this was a so called religious person say so!
Would you say “Litvak” Yekke” Mizrachi? Etc? I somehow don’t think so.
So why call out “Chassid” ?
I can’t help but wonder about the timing, place, and person. First “they” refuse to serve, and then “they” refuse to work and live on welfare, and now “they” spy for the enemy. What will “they” do tomorrow??
It probably was one of Netura Karta working for Iran…
And the Zionists want to draft the Chareidim into their army?!
The Chareidim will be a Fifth Column in the Zionist army!
Now imagine if he was drafted into the army
Can never trust those Hareidim
@jdf007.
Very simple what will happen tomorrow, he’ll laugh in your face at the zionist imbued ignorance. Cause guess what, the guys from that part of Bet Shemesh don’t not go to the army but milk the state, they don’t enlist in the army melting pot, neither do they take money from the zionists, they don’t go to vote, in short, they say to the zionists, we couldn’t care less what you want, we and our fathers, grandfathers and so on were here long before you bunch of terrorist trouble makers, and you aint gonna tell us what to do sorry, and whether you like it or not, they are right.
The descendants of the Meah Shearim neighbourhood (of which Bet Shemesh aka the Kiryah, bet Shemesh Bet and Ramat Bet Shemesh Daled are the most major ‘descendant’ neighbourhood of Meah Shearim) who live there were around before the zionist bully trouble maker murderers.
“Avreich”, indeed
@ heimishe you are 100% right… however, in case it’s true that he was spying for Iran, no body is above the law, most probably if it was found guilty, he would most probably do some Community service. And his charges will drop.
agree with ShlomieB.
The ultimate and best cover for a spy is to be able to build a persona that essentially projects “He’s too _______ to be an agent”
Remember, all these folks who did wonderful kiruv etc that seemed to be pillars of the community turned out to be “agents” because of intelligence unearthed by others.
This case sounds dubious. If was a self-proclaimed computer expert he might have made a mistake.
However if the Israeli government goes through with its plans to go to war with the Torah community, that will make the Iranians into co-belligerents (not allies, but fighting a common enemy).
Reading some of the comments on this thread should put to rest any question if the Neturei Karta and their sympathizers are Rodfim who chosud on retzicha. They no longer even deny it.
The last time (about ten years ago) a Neturei Karta member was arrested (and then found guilty) of trying to spy for Iran they denied affiliation with the guy (even though his children went to their school) Today they laud or border on lauding such behavior
I know personally someone who is his family member. This is the story: The young Choshuva Avreich owns an apartment in Afula who he rented out to single man. He wasn’t in the apartment when they came to look for him. They researched who the owner was and found the young Avriech living in Ramat Beit Shemesh. He is sitting in prison, clueless what is happening, without a lawyer, without Tallis or Tefillin. Please verify your stories before posting rumors. Please daven for Eliezer Ben Sara Devorah Yehudis. Thank you.
If this guy was a chossid, then why is anyone talking about Neturei Karta?! Anyone who confuses NK with chassidim is not qualified to talk about either.
