In order to better serve the taxpayers, Mr. Nathan Oberman, the Tax Receiver for the Town of Ramapo is hereby posting the following TAXPAYER INFORMATION regarding the upcoming School Tax Collection:
TAX OFFICE HOURS:
The Tax Office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Late Night Hours: Wednesday September 24, 2008 until 8:00 PM
Thursday September 25, 2008 until 8:00 PM
A white mail drop box will be available for the convenience of taxpayers who cannot bring payments in to the tax office during normal business hours. The “Drop Box” will be stationed outside the Town Hall building starting September 22 and will remain at this location until Midnight of September 30th. This depository will only accept payments by check. Check must include property address/parcel ID #, phone # and must be for the exact amount of the tax bill due.
NOTE: Partial payments are NOT accepted for School Taxes.
As an additional convenience, the Tax Receiver will also accept checks dated September 30, 2008 at any time during the month of September. These payments will be held in the tax office and will be processed as timely payments without penalty. Post dated checks MUST be brought or mailed directly to the Tax Office. Do Not Mail Post Dated Checks In The Return Envelope Enclosed With The Tax Bill
Online Payments are accepted at www.ramapo-ny.gov.
Check or Credit Card (Master Card or Visa only – 1.8% Convenience Fee is added to tax amount due) until Midnight of September 30th without penalty
