A horrific one-vehicle accident in the Bronx Friday morning left three people critical and six others in serious condition.
The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on the northbound New England Thruway, at Exit 13 for Connor Street, in the Eastchester section at the north end of Co-Op City.
The SUV, a Cadillac Escalade, veered out of control and slammed head-on into a wall near the exit ramp.
The nine people inside were all rushed to Jacobi Hospital.
Police are on the scene, and the entrance and exit ramps to the Thurway were closed for the accident investigation.
All lanes on the Thruway remain open, but rubbernecking delays were reported.

Of course, the Escalade seats only 8, and so I’m sure additional safety violations will emerge.
