Once again, Israeli Arab citizens are tied to a terror plot, this time Shfaram residents who planned to murder pilots, scientists, and university lecturers.
Various security agencies working together succeeded in apprehending the suspects relatively early in their plot. The cell includes three PA (Palestinian Authority) residents and the two Shfaram residents, who also planned shooting attacks against IDF personnel near Birzeit, in the Ramallah district.
The Shfaram residents have been identified as Birzeit University students, Anis Saffouri, 20, who studies communications and Hussam Khalil, 19, a student of engineering. They were making contact with Islamic Jihad in Syria towards recruiting funds for their terror plot.
