An Israeli official confirmed on Tuesday that Israel is purchasing 40,000 tents in preparation for an IDF operation in Rafah.
Israel will have to evacuate hundreds of thousands of civilians from the area before launching an operation.
The Defense Ministry published a tender on Monday for a tent supplier.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, under pressure from his coalition partners following the withdrawal of most of the IDF troops in Gaza earlier this week, released a video message on Monday evening saying that a date for an IDF operation in Rafah is already set.

Not clear that 40,000 tents will be sufficient evidence of an agreed upon “strategic plan” to address the humanitarian consequences of a full-scale invasion of Rafah with an estimated 1.2 million refugees.
40,000 tens is a lot of dollars spent to benefit our enemy and hurt our citizens
Why not buy big bombs instead and use it on our enemies (kill two objectives with one lump $um)
Is Amazon still delivering to Gaza?
I’m assuming the Israelis found a good deal on tents on Dansdeals.
@ the Gadol
You should know that Hamas does not give accurate figures, but, anyway, the rain should end this week and the weather is warmer, so not too bad.
Maybe Qatar will put them up in hotels like we did with our evacuees
It said I made this comment but did not receive the “waiting approval” notification, so will post again…sorry if there is a duplication
