Sanzer Rebbe: “UN Officials Are Shlichim Of The World’s Jew-Haters”

The Sanzer Rebbe held a tisch with thousands of chassidim in Kiryat Sanz in Netanya on Motzei Purim.

After the chassidim sang several Purim songs, the Rebbe instructed them to sing Acheinu Kol Beis Yisrael, with the Rebbe bursting into bitter tears as it was sung.

In his divrei Torah, the Rebbe spoke mainly about the situation in Eretz Yisrael, first speaking about how the Hamas assault occurred despite all the IDF’s technological prowess, a fulfillment of ‘ואלילים כרות יכרתון.’ The Rebbe said that Klal Yisrael has to rectify this by realizing that we can’t survive without emunah and tefillos – and that’s our tafkid on Purim, to internalize that אין עוד מלבדו and אחד הוא אלוקינו בשמים ובארץ – and only Hashem runs the world. When we reach this madreigah, we can wipe out the seed of Amalek.

The Rebbe then spoke about the actions of the representatives of the United Nations against Israel, saying that they are a collection of haters of Yisrael and that there is a “שליח לדבר עבירה” of the goyim – and they’re the shlichim of the rest of the haters of Yisrael in the world. He added that it can be clearly seen how UN officials team up with the Yishmaelim, yimach shemam – the haters and murderers of Yisrael.

The Sanzer Rebbe interspersed his divrei Torah with words of praise for Am Yisrael and the relatives of the hostages who visited Chareidi leaders because they believed in their brachos and tefillos – which is the only thing that can save them.

  1. “[H]ow the Hamas assault occurred despite all the IDF’s technological prowess, a fulfillment of ‘ואלילים כרות יכרתון.’ “.

Wow – what a lack of Hakaras haTov to the soldiers of the IDF – including many, many Shomrei Torah uMitzvos – who are putting their lives on the line, and all to often sacrificing their lives, to protect all Jews living in Israel – including this Rebbe and his Chasidim. Calling these soldiers “elilim” is the hight of disrespect of those who are literally being Moser Nefesh as he was speaking so that he and his Chasidim can sit around singing songs. Asking Mechila of those he was Motzi Shem Ra on is the least that can be done.

And then people wonder why there is resentment against certain groups…

  2. @anisraeliYid: Yes the Rebbe שליט”א is 100% right. There is and was tremendous amount of כחי ועצם ידי in the secular security establishment, and we can clearly see day by day this diminishing: 1st they failed to pick up on the intelligence warnings than they failed to secure the Gaza border and protect the residents in the area.
It took them 3 days to clear the area from a few hundred terrorists and after 5 months they have achieved nothing. No destroying of Hamas, no rescue of hostages no stopping of rockets. Likewise in the north, they keep bombing Hitzbollah targets, but there is no slowing of rockets coming from Lebanon.
It’s time they realise: אם ה’ לא ישמור עיר שוא אקד שומר! Removing thousands of bochrim and Avreichim from the gemoroh will certainly NOT improve the situation!

  3. @David – calling the soldiers fighting in Gaza to protect him אלילים is both insulting and false. As to what the army has accomplished – an easy example is the fact that Hamas has not been able to fire long-distance rockets on months. There are many other accomplishments, but with your blind, Satmar-style antizionism, there’s no point discussing it with you.

Look, maybe the rebbe could have phrased it more respectfully and used a different possuk. Even a tzaddik can make mistakes. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t got a point. It’s easy to forget that the IDF are shluchim of the Ribono Shel Olam. Case in point, Hamas managed to bypass them with a few tractors on October 7th.
Yes, we owe them more hakoras hatov than words can express for putting their lives on the line for us. But at the same time, what’s wrong with taking a bit of mussar about Who we should really trust?

  5. It is clear to anyone without a massive chip on their shoulder that the term אלילים is referring to the technology and attitude of כחי ועוצם ידי, NOT to the soldiers themselves. Anyone who says otherwise is being plain dishonest. The Rebbe’s ahavas yisrael towards ALL Jews is well known, ותו לא מידי.

  6. Firstly, based on the transcript above, the Rebbe Shlita, did NOT call the individual soldiers אלילים but the IDF as an organisation.
Yes, in line of ALL gedolim I am a proud Anti-Zionist even though I am not Satmar.
People who follow DAAS TORAH are certainly NOT blind, it’s those who follow secular imaginary falsehood that are blind.
If stopping long-distance rockets is the only achievement of the IDF after 5 months in that small enclave, that’s rather poor performance.
