PANTS ON FIRE: Biden Dubiously Tells Netanyahu: I’m Not Trying To Oust You As Leader Of Israel

In their phone call on Monday, President Biden reassured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he is not trying to undermine him politically or push him out of office, according to Axios. The call came amid a growing rift between the two leaders over the Gaza war strategy and Netanyahu’s political future.

Netanyahu has been fuming in private and public over what he saw as attempts by the White House and Democrats in Congress to weaken him politically inside Israel. His concerns were heightened by a recent visit to Washington by his political rival Benny Gantz, and comments by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer calling for new elections in Israel and suggesting Netanyahu has “lost his way”.

During the call, Netanyahu complained about Schumer’s speech and Biden’s endorsement of it, claiming the public political attacks against him in the US are interference in Israeli politics. However, Biden pushed back, telling Netanyahu he is not trying to undermine him and has no intention to intervene in Israeli domestic politics.

White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan later hinted that it is Netanyahu who is trying to influence US public opinion, saying “you have the prime minister speaking on American television about his concerns about Americans interfering in Israeli politics and then your question is should Americans be speaking into Israeli politics, which, in fact, we don’t do nearly as much as they speak into ours”.

  1. Mr. Sullivan has got some nerve to complain about Bibi getting on US television. He did that AFTER Biden the fool did what he did, AFTER Schumer the animal did what he did. You gotta expect Bibi to stand up for himself AND his country, no?!

  2. sullivan is an idiot. netanyahu was responding to an outragous act by schumer directly appealing to the israeli public to ouster their prime minister.

when has any prominent israeli politician EVER publicly called for the american people to vote a us president out of office, or anything even close to that.
    when? never
mr. sullivan you are a hater go back to germany where you belong

  3. Maybe there is some significance of Biden sending Schumer to interfere in Israeli politics. Regardless, it won’t matter much to Israelis, and this will not resdult in new elections or a shakeup. But there is one thing that Bibi needed to tell Biden, and leave the burden on Biden to prove otherwise. The American position, as dictated by the Biden WH, is to side with Hamas, support Iran, and to treat Israel as the enemy. And it reqwuires Biden to take definitive actions to prove that this position is not true. That’s all we see. And until I see it change completely, I will never cast another vote for any Democrat at any level of public office.

  4. Biden is lying as usual, and Sullivan is joining in the lie. May Hashem bless Israel and Netanyahu, and bring about the speedy rescue of all the hostages and total victory over Amalek.

  5. Sonei Yisroel like Jake Sulliavan, Biden and Schumer should spend a few months hunkered down with Hamas, like some of our brothers or sisters, or they should shut up!
