An Instagram post depicting an IDF soldier standing over a bound and wounded Hamas terrorist in Gaza has sparked anger from the US State Department, with spokesman Vedant Patel describing the footage as “deeply troubling.”
“I have no knowledge or information as it relates to the circumstances surrounding that incident,” Patel said, but despite acknowledging that he has no idea what was happening in the picture, went on to admonish the IDF.
“I will leave it to the IDF to speak to those specific situations, but we have been clear to them that the respect for basic human rights, that humanitarian law needs to be respected and that those who do not comply need to be held accountable,” Patel said.
The soldier, Yossi Gamzoo, deleted the post and his Instagram account after facing backlash from pro-Palestinian accounts accusing him of torturing the terrorist.

I didn’t hear anything about the hostages’ treatment from the State Dept.
While it was certainly foolish to post the picture on instagram, once again pro-palestinians and their friends are mostly and overly concerned about the basic human rights of those inhuman monsters.
The LEFT keep strengthening TERRORISTS every day…
Instead of coming out condemning the pieces of garbage and saying good for them, they really should get beaten to death for the atrocities they commit, the left protects them using fancy words as “human rights” and “human dignity”.
These liberals are EVIL!
@y2r AMEN!
Facts First are irrelevant.
Hes a terrorist? YEA! But these pics are DANGEROUS!!!! And who suffers from this?! Yidden. Everywhere!!
Bottom line. The IDF is putting us all in danger with this senseless war.
It would be so much smarter to kill the terrorists and not take pictures than to care for the terrorists and take pictures.
I wonder why the State Department didnt ask how many women that murderous terrorist raped on oct 7 or how many children the terrorist beheaded and how many Americans were kidnapped by that terrorist? I also noticed that when America decided to bomb in Syria it wasnt about precision bombing which Israel is required to do or sending in troops to endanger their lives.
HYPOCRISY !!

As Rav Miller wrote, Zionism is a curse.
Zionism has always been a disaster for Jews, from leading up to the Holocaust and beyond.
Facts???
I remember facts. They used to matter, but I’m quite old and it was another era. Back then new sources hired reporters who investigated and confirmed facts. Ah, those were the good old days. But “facts” went out along with typewriters, pens with real ink and phones plugged into walls.
The picture of the undressed prisoner of war is probably quite dubious according to halacha (we had laws against embarrassing people long before anyone else), and prohibited by various international treaties that Hamas, not to mention everyone else, ignores. And while Islam bans nudity only for women, our laws extend the ban to men as well, and it would be nice if Israelis respected that by not photographing undressed Yishmaelim.
Due to Hashems great rachamim, Yidden can now defend themselves. That is why less Jews were killed in the last 75 years than anytime since the first Beis Hamikdash. May Hashem lead us to the ultimate victory with moshiach speedily.
what exactly is he doing in that picture?
He’s doing nothing wrong. Not attacking him, gouging out his eyes, using him for target practice nor sodomising him – as these filthy subhumans are doing to our holy, beautiful, innocent hostages. You all need to get a grip and quit with all this misplaced rachamim.
