Israel: Opposition Leader Netanyahu Warns of the Fiscal Tsunami

Opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu, a former prime minister and former finance minister, warns the current administration’s 2009 budget will bring a “fiscal tsunami” to the nation – explaining the proposed budget will have a disastrous impact on the nation.

Addressing a special Knesset session during the summer recess, he stated, “After this government has finished picking all the fruits of the economic gains, the administration is about to lose the momentum of prosperity… the tsunami is on the way and it will bring bad tidings for the people of Israel.”
