US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told Israeli officials on Thursday that the Biden administration wants the IDF to conclude the current phase of “high intensity” fighting in Gaza within weeks – even as soon as the end of 2023.
While there is an understanding that the IDF will continue to be active in Gaza beyond this phase, Sullivan emphasized the expectation of a “major roll back” in the intensity of the fighting in the near future.
In response, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office reportedly reiterated Israel’s commitment to continue the war until all of its goals are achieved.
White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby, commented on Sullivan’s discussions, said that there’s a plan to transition from high-intensity operations to lower intensity operations, although no specific timeline was provided. Kirby noted that they do not want to telegraph their plans to Hamas.
During the meetings, Sullivan also highlighted the importance of starting serious talks about the “day after” in Gaza, which is seen as a way to extend the Biden administration’s support for the ongoing conflict. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant had earlier stated that the war against Hamas in Gaza would likely take “more than several months.”

You already know the drill Jake Sullivan:- So get all hostages out before end of 2023, or shut up.
I am appalled at the sheer chutzpah of the Biden administration. This is nothing other than support for Hamas and other networks of terror. Israel doesn’t want this war. It needs it. It wants to de-escalate all these activities, to totally stop exposing its soldiers to the risks of battle, and to restore complete peace to its land and its people. The conduct of the strategy to effect that is best understood by the military people in Israel, not the terror loving and supporting leftists of the Biden administration. It is not the place of the US to instruct Is\rael how to conduct its war. When they talk about “humanitarian aid”, “protecting civilians”, and the like, it reeks of the immoral ideas of Tlaib, Omar, and other wastes of biological material. These subhuman primates cannot be given a voice in how Israel seeks its own safety.
Spare our precious soldiers and have rachmanus on their families. Quit the ground combat. Just aerial.
One second – didn’t the Biden administration keep saying, as recently as a few days ago, that the Israelis alone would decide how long the war takes? I guess that’s called talking out of both sides of the mouth.
With “friends” like these who needs enemies
Don’t worry, Biden still has “Israel’s back”
The Idea of throwing out dates (“by the end of 2023”) with regards to the US demand that the IDF slow down operations is ludicrous at best.
No one knows what the status on the ground will be then, how can one plan to slow down..?
Liberals are EVIL to the core, they don’t care about human life let alone a Jewish life… they will use money to control their SUBJECTS. Unfortunately Israel fell for it too many times in the past, I hope they don’t fall for it now.
There is so much to say….
Maybe the Zionist heretics could call for daily rallies in Washington like they called a few weeks ago. “Hishtadlus”, of course.
I must have missed it. Did you hear what deadline Ukraine was given? Or only Israel gets a deadline.
Basesther, you surely know that it’s impossible to defeat an enemy from the air. Aerial operations can only serve to soften up the targets, but the only way to defeat them is with ground combat.
In other news, Israel demands the US secure its border with Mexico by the end of 2023.
