PA (Palestinian Authority) spokesman Nabil Abu Radeina applauds Israel’s announced planned release of an additional 199 terrorists and security prisoners, but quickly adds the move is not enough. He calls the planned release “another positive step” but he and the PA’s minister of prisoner affairs are calling upon Israel to release many more prisoners.
“We called for the release of women, children and the infirmed, but they are not included in the list. There are 18 prisoners whom have been in Israeli prisoners for 25 years or more and Israel must release them,” the PA officials stated.
PA Television aired a special program in honor of those who will soon be free, reading their names on the air as well. Special programs are scheduled to coincide with their release at the end of the month, as well as celebrations throughout the PA areas.
