The IDF early Thursday morning announced the death of 2 platoon commanders killed Wednesday during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip, bringing the death toll in the IDF’s ground operation in Gaza to 50.

They are:

• Captain Asaf Master, Hy’d, 22, a platoon commander in the 601st Battalion, 401st Brigade from Kibbutz Bachan.
• Captain Kfir Yitzchak Franco, H’yd, 22, a platoon commander in the 52nd Battalion, 401st Brigade from Jerusalem.

Additionally, 2 soldiers were seriously injured during fighting in northern Gaza.

Around midday on Thursday, the IDF announced the death of Captain Shlomo Ben-Nun, H’yd, 22, from Modiin, a deputy company commander in the 202nd Battalion, Parachute Brigade. He was killed overnight in an operation in northern Gaza.

His death brings the death toll of troops killed in Gaza to 51.
