Former senior IDF intelligence officer Yaakov Amidror calls the latest government decision to release 200 prisoners in a good-will gesture to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) nothing more than “fooling ourselves”.
Amidror adds that painfully, it is clear the ministers who made the decision to permit the release are not aware of the consequences of the move, explaining that it just seals Gilad Shalit’s fate since Hamas continue to raise its demands towards releasing Shalit, having to exhibit more power and control than Abu Mazen’s Fatah faction.
As such explains Amidror, with each good-will gesture to Abu Mazen while Shalit remains imprisoned only serves to raise the price that will be demanded towards obtaining Shalit’s release.
Amidror adds that unfortunately, intelligence community officials are also aware that Israel’s continued unilateral measures does nothing to strengthen Abu Mazen, who is not in control of Fatah and by most accounts, will eventually fall when Hamas decides to make a major power play in autonomous areas throughout Yehuda and Shomron as it did in Gaza.
Therefore explains Amidror, the move by Israel in essence compromises efforts towards obtaining Gilad Shalit’s release, and places terrorists back on the streets, and does nothing towards advancing peace with the PA.

No Problem! It helps if one is a stupid idiot – and hates the Jewish people.
Compared to the nazis? I don’t think so. The nazis were goyim, these are self-hating Jews. Wasn’t that what used to be called the Judenrat? Am i correct in that assumption?
