(PHOTO LINK AT END OF ARTICLE) Early Sunday morning (8/17/08) (Motzei Shabbos Nachamu), around 1:00 AM, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office was contacted regarding a suspicious package that was found at 381 Fraser Road in the Town of Thompson.
Sources tell YWN that a cardboard box wrapped with electrical tape, with the words “to the Jews”, had been thrown over the fence of the Continental Cottages colony sometime between 8:30pm Friday and midnight Saturday/Sunday.
A resident who was walking in his yard discovered the package and called the Sheriff’s Patrol.
Once on the scene, deputies determined that the package needed a closer examination, and requested that the New York State Police Troop F Bomb Squad respond.
Due to the sensitivity of the incident, Sullivan County Sheriff Mike Schiff personally responded to the scene to assist in the investigation. The Sheriff spoke to the nervous residents, and calmed them down – promising to ensure that a full investigation takes place. Sullivan County Sheriff Chaplain Simcha Bernarth was requested to the scene, & Rockland County Deputy Sheriff Shlomo Keonig whose summer residence is nearby came to offer his assistance as well.
The State Police Bomb Squad Unit arrived on the scene and used a special, hi-tech device to x-ray the box. Seeing no threat, the box was opened and a pair of womans shoes were found inside.
The matter remains under investigation at this time to determine the intent of the person(s) who left the package.

If the thrower were looking for a wicked witch, he would not have addressed it “to the jews”.
Maybe they were a test of the Islamic terrorists to observe how law enforcement would react in case cholila they really want to strike. They have their own base in Sullivan County called Islamberg!
Maybe a goy found these shoes somewhere where he knew Jews were and he figured this was the best way to get it to them.
They should put the shoes up in the Hashovas Avaida section. 😉
