Tonight will be the annual safety event, sponsored by Williamsburg Shomrim Safety Patrol. All Williamsburg and Clinton Hill residents are urged to participate in this important gathering which will take place from 6:00PM to 10:00PM in the Rose Castle Hall. This exclusive event is a opportunity for you, to learn about safety issues which affect you, as a Williamsburg/Clinton Hill resident- and implement better security measures to protect you and your possessions.
You will be able to meet in person with officers from the NYPD Community Affairs Bureau from the surrounding precincts, officers from the Crime Prevention Unit, and and officers from NYPD Highway Unit to discuss any kind of safety issues you might have.
You will also be able to check whether your drivers license is suspended or valid, will be able to register your expensive electronics, such as laptops, palm pilots, MP3 players, GPS, and register your car with the NYPD through the vehicle’s VIN number. This will enable police officers permission to inspect the car when driven between 12:00AM – 6:00AM in order to prevent theft.
