Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz on Sunday, 21 Adar II 5774 signed the new regulation increasing the speed limit on Highway 6 from 110 to 120 KPH (72 MPH).
Katz explains the decision was made following consultations with engineers, police traffic enforcement experts and others, assuring him that based on accident studies and expert data, the increase will not result in additional accidents. In addition, it is pointed out the highway was constructed by an American firm, built for a maximum speed of 130 KPH, so vehicles will be well within the road design. Highway 6 is the first highway that will operate at the new speed limit to permit evaluating it for a period of time before increasing the speed limit on other roads.

120 certainly is an appropriate speed limit when driving over the corpses of your ancestors.
Great Headline!
I don’t know who comes up with the names of the articles, but the name of this one was very corny -> just pointing out. 🙂
INSANE, Israelis all believe they are riding TANKS and have zero regard to safety on the road. By raising speed limits it is a ticket to injuries and fatalities.
#1, Please do not visit our HOLYLAND/HOMELAND every parcel of roads, streets and sandy areas are covering graves of some past generations. Learn the halachos, instead!!
