NORTHERN FRONT: 3 Israelis Injured After Hezbollah Fires Missile At Israeli Town

Three Israelis were injured after Hezbollah terrorists fired an anti-tank guided missile at the northern town of Metula on Tuesday morning.

One was moderately injured and two were lightly injured. Residents of the town and nearby yishuvim were ordered to stay in their bomb shelters as the IDF responded with artillery fire toward Lebanon to enable the evacuation of the wounded.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, also claiming that they fired 17 mortar shells at the area. The head of the local council has called on the residents of the town to evacuate. The IDF began evacuating residents of 28 yishuvim on the northern border on Monday.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, IDF forces thwarted a terror attack on the northern border when they eliminated four terrorists attempting to plant an explosive device on the border fence near the Israeli yishuv of Chanita.

IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari said that the squad was spotted while still in Lebanese territory and was eliminated as it approached Israeli territory. In addition, the IDF attacked Hezbollah positions overnight Monday.

“The IDF thwarted an attempted infiltration by a terrorist squad, and this is how we will continue to operate,” said Brigadier General Hagari. “Anyone who tries to reach the fence and penetrate the territory of the State of Israel – will be killed on the fence.”
