An aide to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that Netanyahu has extended an invitation to US President Joe Biden for a solidarity visit to Israel.

If President Biden accepts the invitation, he would become the first head of state to visit the country since the devastating Hamas massacre on October 7, which resulted in the loss of approximately 1,300 Israeli lives, with the majority of the victims being civilians.

Reports from Hebrew media suggest that Netanyahu’s office and the White House are currently reviewing the specifics of the invitation and are leaning towards a positive response.

White House National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson told the media, “We have no new travel to announce.”
