A prominent Jewish blogger has revealed this week that a Harvard University based educational tourism program in Israel supported and funded by Hillel and other “Jewish philanthropies” took students who participated in the tour to visit the grave of Yasser Arafat, the deceased former president of the Palestinian Authority and renowned terrorist responsible for the killing of thousands of Jews.

According to Israel Trek’s website the tour is designed to “facilitate[e] a nuanced first encounter with the country.” But as the blog Elder of Ziyon points out, “It is wonderful to expose people to both sides of the story, but it is nonsensical to embrace the side of the story that wants to see you gone.”
