PA Negotiator Now Speaks of a Bi-national State

Ahmed Quriea (Abu Ala), the PA’s (Palestinian Authority) chief negotiator, is now speaking of a bi-national state if Israel continues to refuse the boundaries being suggested in talks, namely the division of Jerusalem to serve as the capital of a Palestinian state.

Speaking in Ramallah, Abu Ala stated that Israel continues to refuse to withdraw from “occupied areas” and if this continues to be the case, then he will have to begin looking at a bi-national state as an alternate solution.

Despite Olmert’s lack of public support as his winds down his political career, he seems committed to signing an agreement with the PA before the end of 2008.
