A Gaza resident, a woman in her 30s, remains on life support in Ashkelon’s Barzilai Hospital. She was recently brought in after being transferred from a Gaza hospital.
She was sitting with her husband in a Gaza café when she suddenly collapsed. Doctors determined she suffered a major hemorrhagic stroke, which left her brain dead. Doctors in Gaza explained there is nothing they can due, but since she is six months pregnant, she was referred to Barzilai.
According to the head of the hospital’s maternity department, Prof. Eyal Entebbe, she will remain on life support until she reaches full term, explaining the fetus appears healthy and is continuing to develop normally.
The husband has called on the hospital to save their child, explaining they couple today has two children.
