IDF Colonel Shloime Dahan, the commander of the army’s southern battalion, remains comatose following his injuries sustained in a vehicular accident last week.
YWN reported on 24 July (HERE) that the colonel was injured when his driver crashed into a tree.
It has since been learned the colonel was responding to a security alert at about 4:00AM when the accident occurred. Investigators report it appears the driver fell asleep. The Isuzu Trooper slammed into a tree, and Dahan sustained a serious head injury.
Senior commanders continue to visit Shloime as they attempt to remain confident that the former navy commando will awaken and begin to rehabilitate himself.
