Heavy Travel Days Expected at Ben-Gurion Int’l Airport

elal3.jpgSome of the busiest days at Ben-Gurion International Airport are expected to get underway next week after Tisha B’Av. It is a time when many chareidi families will begin their summer vacations, taking advantage of the time remaining before Rosh Chodesh Elul.

Sundays and Thursdays are the busiest days, with approximately 55,000 travelers passing through the airport each day. The number of travelers will increase significantly after Tisha B’Av, with the chareidi population playing a major part in the numbers.

The most popular destinations are North America and Turkey and there will be approximately 65 flights a day taking off to those destinations.
