Investigators probing the fatal gas explosion in Akko on 17 Adar I have made arrests in the case. Five people were killed in the powerful blast, which investigators report was the result of intentional sabotage.

Four Akko residents were taken into custody range in age from 18 to 27. The investigation continues, with officials signaling the defendants may be facing manslaughter indictments.

The suspects were arraigned on Thursday afternoon 5 Adar II and the Haifa Magistrate Court ordered three of the suspects held without bail.
