Dozens Of Roshei Yeshiva, Admorim and Rabbonim Release Kol Koreh Ahead Of Planned Atzeres In Manhattan

k

Late yesterday, dozens of prominent Admorim, Roshei Yeshiva and Rabbonim issued a Kol Korei calling for the entire community to participate in the upcoming massive Atzeres Tefillah, this Sunday, March 9/7 Adar II in Lower Manhattan.

Copies of the Kol Korei and other Atzeres information are attached.

The gathering will echo last week’s huge atzeres tefilla in Yerushalyim, which brought out hundreds of thousands of Jews in response to the Israeli government’s ongoing attempt at social engineering of the charedi community, including wholesale conscription of bnei yeshiva.

The New York asifa will take place on Water Street in lower Manhattan – between Fulton Street and Broad Street – this Sunday, 7 Adar Sheni (March 9) at 2:00 p.m. It will begin with Mincha and followed by Tehillim and tefillos b’Tzibbur, led by Gedolei Yisroel. A special area for women is also being arranged.

The podium where the shaliach tzibbur will stand will be on the corner of Water Street and Old Slip (midway between Broad Street and Wall Street).

New York residents are being urged to take public transportation to the site, which is well serviced by the subway system with many subway lines stopping in the area. Organizers urge participants not to drive into Manhattan for the gathering. This applies as well to individuals driving in from points outside the city, who should park in Brooklyn or New Jersey and take a train into Manhattan.

Buses are expected to bring participants from communities outside the immediate New York area, including Baltimore, Philadelphia, upstate New York, Orange, Sullivan and Rockland counties, Lakewood, and other New Jersey communities.

The weather Sunday is predicted to be milder than what the East Coast is experiencing this week, with Accuweather forecasting temperatures in the low 40’s with calm winds.

There will be a significant security presence in the area, and the NYPD will conduct periodic sweeps before the event. Most major streets in the area will be closed to vehicular traffic and all participants will have to go through a security check before being allowed in. Organizers ask that attendees not bring knapsacks, briefcases or packages in order to keep lines flowing.

Hatzolah and Shomrim will be on hand.

In order to maintain the decorum and dignity of the Atzeres, police will not permit signs or placards.

Further information will be provided as it becomes available.

  1. I think that the truth works best.

We should all go, and raise our faces to Shomayim and be Moideh Umisvadeh to HKB”H that the real reason we don’t want our children to join the army is, because we are terrified of the dangers on the battlefield.
HKB”H is a Keil Rachum and understands.

  2. Baruch Hashem we will have the ONCE IN A GENERATION OPPORTUNITY to beseech the Ribono Shel Olam with RIVOVOS ALFEI YISROEL against the gezeiras shmad by the anti-religious in Eretz HaKodesh.

Don’t miss this once in a generation opportunity to be there yourself in front of our teire Eibeshter, the Melech Malchei Hamelachim to ask him together with the rest of Klal Yisroel to save us and protect us and help us!!

  3. #3- The Melech Malchei Hamelachim will be laughing at all those who sit in America and cry for Him to protect and help “us”. Never in history has it been easier for Yidden to live in E”Y. Do they take advantage of that GIFT from HKB”H? No! Why not? Oh. Of course. It is because of all the goyim in E”Y who are looking to destroy us spiritually.

  4. @#1: Since this kinus is in America the likelihood that attendees are worried about their children being hurt on a battlefield in Israel is slim to none. Not that I expect a laitz to be impressed with logic…

  5. These get ridiculous after a while. For instance the Satmar rebbes and the skverer rebbes and the spinka and vishnitz rebbes did not sign the paper. Does that mean that they are taking a different position?

  6. Yanky55:
You claim that “Never in history has it been easier..to live in E”Y”.

When in history has the Torah and Torah Jewry been under such attack in E”Y as the Zionists are attacking now (and as they have been since even before 1948)?

You also ignore the economic issues and Arab terror issues, CH”V.

Only in Israel does every (non-Chareidi and non-Arab) 18 year old child have to risk their physical and spiritual lives in the shmad and immorality of the IDF; and Chareidim are the national scapegoat.

Only in Israel can one not know if some savages will come down from a hillside and through rocks through a windshield for no particular reason and with the potential for CH”V multiple fatalities.

If you consider that easy, then you either don’t believe that Jews need remain observant and do believe that risking one’s life is no big deal, or else you have a very unique definition of easy.
