In what police believe was an act of terrorism in Yerushalayim, vandals cut gas lines to three apartment building to cause powerful explosions. B’chasdei Hashem the gas leaks were detected in time and 50 residents evacuated and authorities prevented a deadly blast. The fire department responded quickly to calls of smells of gas, locating the sabotaged gas lines in the stairwells of three apartment buildings. Authorities explain the blast would have been far more powerful that the tragic fatal explosion that occurred in Gilo.

Police now reveal this is the third incident in the Armon HaNatziv neighborhood of Yerushalayim in the past three weeks. The most recent attempted attack targeted buildings on Shlomo Ben-Yosef Robovich Street.
