Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House Press Secretary, was asked to comment on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson airing of footage from the January 6th insurrection on his Fox News show.
Carlson had shown a portion of the more than 40,000 hours of surveillance video he received from Speaker Kevin McCarthy and attempted to downplay some of the protesters who breached the Capitol as “sightseers.”
During a press briefing on Tuesday, a reporter described the footage as “cherry-picked” and accused Carlson of severely downplaying the events of that day.
“Anybody who watched that video would strongly disagree,” the press secretary replied. “Anybody who watched that video, with their own eyes in a real way and saw what happened on that day, would disagree with what was just stated.”
“The president has been very clear. January 6th was the worst attack in our democracy since the Civil War, and we should be focused on making sure that never happens again… I know — Minority Leader and Senator Schumer have already said this and would hope that keeping the Capitol and Congress safe and secure remains congressional leaders’ number one goal,” she said.
When asked whether Speaker McCarthy was irresponsible for handing over the footage, Jean-Pierre simply responded by saying that she had already answered the question.

The white house spokeswoman spoke the truth. YWN has left its headlines in the charge of drunk bochrim again.
It is similar to the Civil War whether you like it or not and more than one died. In each case people fought physically against the government rather than did it democratically.

The video speaks for itself. The event of Jan 6, 2021 was almost entirely peaceful, the vast majority of protesters did nothing at all wrong. Even those who entered the Capitol were allowed in by the police which makes it right. They were well behaved, respectful, and expressed their entirely valid point properly. Even the violent few did not kill anyone, and did only very minor property damage. Sicknick’s death was used for a literal blood libel, exactly the same as the ones that used to be made against the Jews. And the House committee had all this evidence, knew all about it, and cherry-picked the few scenes that showed violence in order to create a false narrative of an insurrection.
Democrats are ridiculously accusing Carlson of deceptively editing the videos. There is not a shred of evidence for this.
It’s reminiscent of their accusations against James O’Keefe, which everyone understands is false, since he always publishes his entire raw footage and nobody has yet been able to find one instance of a deceptive edit.
But what Carlson found out is that the Democrats DID exactly what they’re falsely accusing him of. They took silent CCTV footage, and added dramatic sounds of screaming to make it sound scary.
The entire “January 6” committee should be censured by the House.
